Over the weekend I was definitely out and about! I managed to be one of the lucky few to make it in to

RIP THE RUNWAY UK!!!

I had previously uploaded a video blog and review about the event but was asked to take it down as they did not agree with my views.

This actually troubled me! To the point that I had a disagreement with the organiser and decided instead of war-ing I would take it down!

However this goes against EVERYTHING I have learnt as a young broadcast journalist. And I had floods of emails, PINGS, tweets, facebook messages and personal calls with friends family and advisers that i shouldnt have given in.

After being CUSSED by my fellow media professionals for BACKING DOWN and seeing several other harsh reviews I have decided to put up an edited version of the vblog with an added introduction.

I will be hosting the official meet & Greet event in which all of the candidates will introduce themselves and 2 pairs will be eliminated.

I had the pleasure of hosting and presenting for 4th Degree Media (4DM) at this year's first official Ms Curvaceous UK 2011 event.

This event was all about showcasing plus size models in the fashion industry and media. Presented by Streamline Empire.

On the night we had performances by Lioness, DM II (Dem two) and Naiveronique. And on the judging panel we had the Streamline Empire CEO, along with fashion choreographers and professional as well as BBC 1Xtra's Ace contributing to crowning the winner.

Well done to all the women who took part and congratulations to the winner Naomi Locker aka Nims.

MS CURVACEOUS UK

This is an event for ladies, size 12 and up.

Get the chance to walk the walk and say your piece in front of fashion industry professionals. Network with designers for future features and take professional photos for your portfolio, put as your screensaver or DP or even to frame on you wall. All this as well as the title a trophy and the opportunity to walk in future shows.

After signing up you will be notified for the audition process, to cut the numbers down for a managable yet extravigant show.

The show will take place in january 2011 but auditions are next month (November) so apply ASAP.

Also we are looking for designers which has a range of sizes in couture dresses, retro clothing or day time wear as well as accessories.

Hair dressers and make up artists with flare and creativity.
