REMEL LONDON @ SLIM IN WONDERLAND 5 out of 5 rating!!!

Last night I attended the One man comedy show Slim in Wonderland, and it was definitely a WONDERFUL experience ( excuse the cheesy comment lol).

When I arrived at the show I was optimistic as I was not sure whether I would be witnessing a comedic re-make of the classic Alice in Wonderland tale or not, but it was in a fact a variety show of different comedy sets from the likes of Miss Jocelyn, Kevin J and of course Slim.

The host for the night was the hilarious KAT B who definitely kept the show moving at the right pace and set the vibe for the night.
The show was opened by DEM II a brand new rap duo who was a bit hard to take in at first, as they seemed to have a little too much hype for quite an older crowd who came out to enjoy a relaxed Sunday night out for laughter.

But once the actual comedy started the laughs and fun was in full swing.

The second act of the Night was Miss Jocelyn who entertained us with a familiar (as shown on tv) Bus Driver sketch with her hilarious rendition of the hymn 'In the Name of JEEESSSSSUUUSSSS' lol.

On next was Kevin J, who as always was one of the few white guys in the WHOLE of Hackney Empire lol he spoke of his upbringing Nigeria.... not the one in Africa... the one in Peckham lol and also of his recent bookings and travels to Lagos, Nigeria.

I just want to let you all know that Kevin J has an amazing Nigerian accent!!!

The big man himself SLIM was the last act of the night and gave probably one of the best Entrances for a comedian at the Hackney Empire that I have ever seen. With his pimp stick in hand and two lovely booty shakers either side of him he was cheered to the stage.

He told stories of his life as a bus driver, and his recent operation on his.... *cough cough* private parts!!! OH GOOOSSSHHH!!! yes he broke his willy wonka!

The celebrity filled audience with guests such as Eddie Kadi, Jimmy Akingbola, Arnold ' Snakey Man' Oceng, Star of kidulthood, adulthood and soon to be released Anuvahood Adam Deacon and others of course myself all laughed the night away!!

I'm pretty sure my six pack is about to make a come-back as we definitely laughed all night long!

I give this event event a 5out of 5 rating!!! And I can't wait to see the next Slim show which I hear will be a 2 hour non-stop stand up SHOW!!!

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

@ALofficial releases the ultimate collaboration Mixtape 'WHO'S THAT GIRL' ft @OfficialMaxsta @Mercston @TheRealStutta and more!!!

I have been following A.L official's work for a while now. When I first heard her voice at I luv live back in the Summer of 09, I had to get to keep my eye on her and since the I have have fallen in love with her wonderful personality and sensational voice!!!

And now I am proud ( - like an old African aunty - who's not actually related to her but still beg's it says we are family lol) to announce that A.L is releasing the ultimate collaboration Mixtape.

REMEL LONDON, @TheRealGhetts, Music & Politics!!! Check it out here!!!

Well well well!!! What can I say! Tonight's event was definitely eventful!!!
To kick off February's edition of Industry Takeover the theme was Music and Politics.
We had a panel including our chairwoman Journalist Chantelle Fiddy, political activist Jody McIntyre, Fusion, BBC 1XTRA Music Manager Austin Dobah and of course Ghetts who was also our headline act for the night.

Although Ghett's live performance of 'Don't phone me' had me spazzingly skanking out to the point where I almost lost my earring the best part of the night was in fact the Seminar, which might I add got very tense as talks of the upcoming sensus caused some booing and also a debate about whether there is a place for political messages in urban mainstream music.

Also a slight awkward moment occured between Ghetts and an audience member who seemed to think Urban music was full of nonsense that no-one could learn from, which definitely seemed to rattle Ghetts. But all was resolved with a well put statement from the artist, that there are a lot of music makers out there who don't get the recognition for making music about positive and thought-provoking message that they deserve.

Here's a few more of my thoughts... Sorry for the rant LMAO
