I actually got a lump in my throat and welled up at this comment from a Black woman, who is clearly confused and ashamed of who she is!
I have just watched a documentary on Channed 4 as a part of the race and science season called "Bleach, nip, tuck:The white beauty myth".
The white beauty myth???? WHAT MYTH????
Do people really want to and work towards goals in life trying to be a "beautiful" white person. Of course white people are beautiful we're all friggin beautiful but in our own unique ways.
One of the doctor's on the show made a good point that in all races there are many shade and characteristics so why is it that people
want to be white?
What about the white people who are trying to look like -J-lo with her big Latino booty.
Or the white people who jump on sun-beds and get sprayed in orange tango to get a darker complexion?
Or the strange celebrities who fill their lips to the brim with Collagen...

But we can all see what she was trying to achieve... a black person's juicey full lips... but they don't say these people are trying to look black do they? they are just perfecting what is already "beautiful" by enhancing it right???

Most of the people on that show had bad experiences as a black or asian person... and were likely to be very self conscious and blamed it on thier race?
wow no need to change who you are! Go to councelling, have a spa day make yourself feel better but no need to look like the lovelie in the top right of the post!!! It's unecessary!
