I recently had the pleasure of being invited as a selected member of the Utalks session at Universal Music UK.

Along with my brother from another mother Linkuptv's Rashid we had the opportunity to mingle with a few like minded individuals, future media leaders and bloggers in an informal session with Dj & A&R and promotions manager at Universal Sextex.

As you can tell by the footage I WAS ALL UP IN THERE lol with my questions at the ready to pick the brains of my peers and the Universal HQ team.

It was great to discuss the importance of the internet and social networks within the music and media world and made me realise that my role as a blogger and online presenter, and particularly the work I do with Linkuptv is definitely a step in the right direction.

Meeting Semtex was definitely one of the highlights of the Day. As a fellow radio presenter it was nice to see how influential and effective his role as a DJ on BBC 1XTRA can be. I mean it's part of the reason he landed a job at Universal ( other than his amazing talent for spotting talent of course lol). And I honestly could see myself in a role like this.

From 'ones to watch' to '#RateMePlz' and all of my cheeky music and media reviews I feel like I might be heading down the A & R route. I've got opinions to last for days!
